Simple Description	This Refuge represents the only area solely dedicated to the protection of fish.

Nanzihsiian River originates from the southwest foothill of Yushan and runs across the mid-elevation natural forest. The refuge and protection by the villagers has kept the river free from pollution and construction. Scaphesthes alticorpus can be easily spotted on the bridge. Living in 150〜500 m low elevation rapid rivers, Scaphesthes alticorpus is protected species in Taiwan, and is renowned as Taiwan National Treasure along with Oncorphynchus masou.
